betty donelly: October 2008 Archives

As a solo indie musician I was having a hard time selling my music and merchandise on the interweb, although I put some hard work in setting up stores and a decent web presence.

Just as I was about to throw in the towel, I got into contact with this choreographer, and he kind of lured me into this contemporary dance project, which I can proudly say is my job right now, being a performing artist...as a dancer...

Well he asked me to audition my music, and now he's thinking about having my music arranged for two pianos or quatre mains, as people say in the language of classical music...

Besides that, one fine day my choreographer called me up and asked if I would like a grant from a royal foundation here in my country...I just needed to change gears some and become a social musician...so if all goes well, I'll be booked into the studio for seven whole days, for creating a four song demo that will be shopped to venue holders and theaters by my choreographer..

Now isn't that some neat integration marketing story?...and it's all thanks to Mark somehow!
